To Whom It May Concern,

When we decided to redo the deck, add a lower deck and build a staircase at our Canyon Lake home, we called a number of contractors and companies to come out to discuss plans and give us estimates.  Doug Mayfield was one of the people who came to our house.  After reviewing all of the estimates and our feelings about the reps, we decided to go with Doug.  However, circumstances changed and we had to put the project on hold for awhile. 

A number of months later we decided it was time to go ahead with the project and called Doug.  While he was happy to hear from us and was anxious to help us with our project, he told us that he had changed jobs and was now representing another company.  We thanked him for his honesty and told him we would get back to him.  We discussed the situation and felt that Doug was the person that we wanted to deal with.  Working with someone who was open, honest, easy to speak with and showed integrity was extremely important to us.  Doug had all of those qualities. 

We went ahead with the project, and Doug was with us every step of the way.  He made suggestions but did not push.  He answered all of the questions that we had.  The project that we designed was unique at the time and there were of number of details that had to be ironed out.  He showed infinite patience letting us know that his top priority was that we were happy with the finished project.  Doug would stop by and/or call to check on the progress of the project and to make sure everything was going as planned.  As with all construction, there were some glitches.  When we contacted Doug, he wasted no time in doing his part to resolve the problems that arose.  He was an absolute pleasure to work with and I have recommended him to friends and neighbors without reservation. 

As a result we now have a deck that is somewhat unique in design that we absolutely love.  When neighbors came over to see the finished product, one of them said "You have certainly raised the bar for decks at the lake."  Needless to say, we are absolutely thrilled.
